Equity Box LLC, doing business as SmallByzLoans
About SmallByzLoans
We help small business owners find funding that fits how their business earns money. We are a marketplace, not a lender: we review your request, match you with providers, and explain your options in plain English.
A funding marketplace for small businesses
SmallByzLoans is the business name of Equity Box LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. We help small business owners find funding programs that fit how their business actually earns money, including merchant cash advances, working capital loans, business term loans, lines of credit, equipment financing, and accounts receivable financing.
We are a marketplace, not a lender. When you send a request, our funding team reviews your business profile and matches it with funding providers whose programs fit your revenue, time in business, and use of funds. Every approval, amount, rate, and term is set by the funding provider through its own underwriting.
Many of the owners we work with have been turned down by a bank, need funds faster than a traditional loan allows, or have credit in the mid-600s. Our job is to show them which options are realistic, what each one costs, and what they need to prepare.
What we do, and what we don't
Clear expectations up front save business owners time and money.
We do
- Review funding requests starting with a soft credit check, so checking your options does not affect your score
- Match your business with programs that fit your revenue, industry, and timeline
- Explain payment structure and total cost in plain English before you commit
- Tell you which documents a provider will ask for, such as recent bank statements
- Serve businesses in all 50 states
We don't
- Lend money directly or make credit decisions
- Guarantee approval, amounts, rates, or terms
- Offer consumer or personal loans; every program is for business purposes only
- Give financial, legal, or tax advice
- Charge you to check which options fit
How a funding request is reviewed
01
Short request form
You share basic business details, monthly revenue, credit range, the amount you need, and what it is for. No documents are needed at this stage.
02
Funding team review
A specialist reviews the profile, asks follow-up questions, and identifies the programs you are likely to qualify for.
03
Documents and options
If a program fits, the provider asks for documents such as bank statements. You see the offer terms before deciding.
04
Provider decision
The funding provider underwrites the file and makes the final decision. You are never obligated to accept an offer.

How we write our funding guides
Our guides are written to help business owners make informed decisions, not to push a product.
Articles on the SmallByzLoans funding blog are written by the SmallByzLoans funding team, who work with business owners on funding requests. We write about the questions owners actually ask us: what lenders look for, what funding really costs, and which option fits which situation.
Our standards
- Official sources first. Program rules, legal definitions, and regulations are checked against primary sources such as the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Reserve, the IRS, and the text of the Uniform Commercial Code, and guides that discuss program rules or regulations list their sources.
- No promised rates or approvals. Costs vary by provider and applicant, so we explain how pricing works and use clearly labeled examples instead of quoting rates we cannot guarantee.
- Trade-offs, not sales pitches. When a product is expensive or a poor fit for a situation, the guide says so, including when a bank or SBA loan is the better choice.
- Kept current. Each guide shows when it was published or last updated. We review guides when programs, regulations, or market practices change, and we merge or retire articles that are no longer useful.
- Corrections. If you spot an error, tell us through the contact page and we will review it and update the article.
Guides are general information and are not financial, legal, or tax advice. For decisions about your business, speak with a qualified accountant, attorney, or advisor.
